WEEK TWO, WOOHOO!!

Oh my goodness, what a week! I will admit, it was a bit more tough than my first week, but as always, it was SO GOOD!! 3 of the 4 Sisters in our room got sick this week, including me, but we're feeling much better today, thank the heavens!!

The language? Wowza it's tough to be honest, but it is such a beautiful language, and honestly we know way more than I think, but it still can be disappointing. We know how to pray, say a short testimony, carry on a very VERY basic conversation, and say the Missionary Purpose and the First Vision memorized. That's pretty good, I just have to remind myself to be patient.

We had TRC's this week which were AWESOME! The first person we taught had the coolest name I've pretty much ever heard in my life, oh just wait. Rexford. Vaughn. Boody. I know right?! It was awesome, he's actually a really great guy and we had the opportunity to teach him about God. It's been so cool, almost all of the lessons my companion and I have taught thus far have been about God, so I've really had to strengthen my testimony on the subject and I have LOVED IT. God is so good, in everything He does for His dear children. Read the scriptures and you'll find His love EVERYWHERE. Pray to feel it and to see His hand in your life, I promise you'll find it.

Haha exercise is my SAVING GRACE here. We sit in class for 3 hours in the morning, no break, go to lunch, go back to class and sit for another 3 hours, and then EXERCISE. It feels SO GOOD!!! Lately we do these things called Portuguese Planks, and we pretty much just do a plank and count them in Portuguese, WOOT WOOT!!

OH MY GOODNESS! On Saturday (September 21), our district had a worldly breakthrough of singing "September" by Earth, Wind, and Fire as we watched the sunset. It had been such a long day and we were all exhausted, so it was honestly such a breath of relief. The Elders discovered my double jointed fingers and FREAKED out. It was so funny, they thought it was the grossest thing ever, whoops-ee-daisy.

LAST THING!! And I think you'll really want to hear this one. Because it's a ghost story. So the Sisters and I had just gotten in bed and not two minutes after lights out, the door handle to our room started to shake, but it was in intervals, not like an earthquake or anything like that. And it was really loud. So I got out of bed to go see what was wrong, and as I touched the door handle to open it, it continued to shake in my hand. I opened the door and looked and no one was there. I closed the door and IT STARTED AGAIN. The Sisters and I had the strangest feeling, I've never felt whatever I was feeling at that very moment. I held the handle to try and stop it, but through the door, the other side of the handle was still shaking. No one was outside our door, no planes were passing over, nothing about it made sense. So finally, my companion said a prayer and after a couple minutes, it finally stopped. Let's just say I slept very little that night. AHHHHH. We told the Elders in our district and they were like, "Well did you try this or this or that? Could it have been a metaphor in a way that the Spirit was knocking on your door and you weren't answering? Did you go Ghostbusterson whatever it was? Aww man you should've, that would've been AWESOME! Oooh next time it happens, make a video of it and make it like a ghost chase documentary, wouldn't that be awesome?!" We really felt their support haha.

Thanks for your support and your prayers!! I have felt so much love here, especially on the hard days, but I know that as I keep the commandments and work with all my heart, might, mind, and strength, the Lord will help me be an instrument in His hands. And guess what? He'll do the same for you!! Just ask!! Anyway, love you all!! Have a great week!!
