Week 17: CHRISTMAS IS CABO!!!

First Christmas away from home? Check!! And wow, it was so hard to be away from my sweet family for it, but my comp and I decided to make it the best Christmas ever because we knew it would be hard, but it truly was SO GOOD!! And here is why....

Christmas Prep:
So to prep for the big day, we ate lunch in the city and went and bought paper to make these cute-as-can-be Christmas cards for our investigators, members, TUDO MUNDO!! It was so fun. After we made the cards, we got to go caroling in the city with our zone and that was a blast! Then, Sis Dille and I went home and made Christmas cookies IN THE DARK because the power went out haha, welcome to Cabo!! Then we opened the cute Christmas PJs my fam sent and got ready for a good ol' Christmas sleep!!

CHRISTMAS DAY!!
SANTA WAS ABLE TO FIND CABO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN YAYAYAYAY!!!! My cute comp got me an Adidas sweatshirt and pants because my sports nickname used to be Adidas, my family spoiled me with some good ol' American candy, a book, the sweetest letters you did ever see, oh bless their seet hearts!! Then we had a zone meeting and ate all of our baked goods together haha. Then we got to call the fam, wow that was so special!! And then Sis Dille and I went about spreading Christmas cheer to all our friends with our little cards we made. Christmas, therefore, was a SUCCESS!!

Ka Ta Li:
Kriol for,"they're not here," because after Christmas, literally for 4 days, almost every one of our plans fell through. I mean yes it's the holidays, but man it was rough. But after working for hours with no success, the Lord truly blessed each day with a miracle. One was named Elizabeth. Poor as can be, but doing every single thing she can to support her family and always praying to Heavenly Father and thanking Him for everything she has, she is AMAZING!! The gospel couldn't be a more perfect fit for her. She kept offering us the little she had, it's people like this that make me want to make some serious changes in my life.

Spiritual!!
I love the scriptures, it is my favorite part of my day when I get to study and read the Book of Mormon and just soak in the beautiful teachings of the Lord through so many brave and amazing people. My fav verses this week came from Helaman 3: 27-30...
27 Thus we may see that the Lord is merciful unto all who will, in the sincerity of their hearts, call upon his holy name.
28 Yea, thus we see that the agate of heaven is open unto ball, even to those who will believe on the name of Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God.
29 Yea, we see that whosoever will may lay hold upon the aword of God, which is bquick and powerful, which shall cdivide asunder all the cunning and the snares and the wiles of the devil, and lead the man of Christ in a strait and dnarrow course across that everlasting egulf of misery which is prepared to engulf the wicked—
30 And land their souls, yea, their immortal souls, at the aright hand of God in the kingdom of heaven, to sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and with Jacob, and with all our holy fathers, to go no more out.
Isn't it so good?!?! Word of advice, really take time to read the scriptures. It will make your life easier and you will truly see the Hand of God in every aspect of your life. He only wants what is best for you and He loves you.
Oh I love you all so much. Thank you for your constant support and love. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! 2020 WHAAAAT!!!???
Yours truly,
Sister Melo
P.S. I hope you can see I gave Larry the Lizard a Christmas card. Because I have proof. Can you spot him haha
